Yorkshire powertrain supplier, Lancereal, has announced it is entering a new chapter after 37 years of operation, following a management buyout and increased investment.

The buyout comes with a rebrand, a new company website, increased marketing efforts and expansion within the workforce.

Laura Hampson and Rob Yorke, who have been part of the business for many years, step into the roles of managing directors, with Laura focusing on sales and business development, while Rob oversees engineering and operations.

They aim to build on the foundations laid by founder Nick Hampson, who led the company since its establishment in 1988.

Lancereal has also expanded its team, bringing in new hires across various departments to bolster expertise and customer support to stay competitive and adapt to the industry’s demands.

Laura, who steps into her father’s role, says that the buyout was a natural progression and keeps the company’s values while paving the way for the future.

“Rob and I have been deeply involved in the commercial and operational direction of the business for several years. This step will provide continuity and stability, ensuring our customers and suppliers continue to experience the same level of service, integrity, and support that Lancereal has provided for decades.”

Adding to this, Rob, who worked at the company for ten years, said: “The [buyout] is not just about ownership change but about maintaining the passion and ethos that have been the backbone of Lancereal since the beginning. We are committed to upholding the customer-first approach and ensuring strong, trusted partnerships as we move forward.”
