Agricultural haulage specialists, Richard Western, will have several new products on the stand at Lamma.
The SF18HS Super Suffolk silage trailer will be shown on 600/55 R26.5 tyres, with a newly designed double flip sheet to retain chopped material within.
Hydraulically operated, it uses a double-acting supply to move two steel frames with polypropylene sheeting to cover the load and minimise the risk of spillage.
The company will also debut its nurse tank range. The NT50 has a 50cu m capacity and qualifies for grant funding. It has a dual design, which the company states will allow it to be used during silage season as well.
It comes with multiple inlets and outlets, sight glasses and a full-opening hydraulic tailgate, with single-ram tipping for sediment emptying. It’s mounted on a tri-axle chassis, with rear steering as standard, and the option of front-axle steering.
Two hydraulic jacks provide support when stationary, and it’s recommended to be sold with a hydraulic drawbar option to improve riding characteristics.
Responding to customer demand, Richard Western has also developed the DF hydraulically-driven hopper trailer, suitable for both livestock and arable operations.
It can be used as a feed dispenser or for filling drills, for example, with the choice of single-axle units with 8t or 10t capacities, or tandem-axle machines up to 12t. A manually-engaged hydraulic motor operates the dispensing auger.
