The new Vredo DZ5 Agri Overseeder, brought into the UK through Campey Agriculture, is said to be suitable for both overseeding and direct drilling, capable of dosing and applying up to three different seed types in a single pass. This means that mixes to boost milk production or biodiversity can be handled simultaneously.
It uses the proven double-disc seeding method, with V-shaped discs to open the soil and place the seed, followed by a press roller which closes the slot. Row spacings of 7.5cm or 15cm can be chosen depending on the task at hand.
The Vredo DZ5 will be shown alongside a Vredo 229.75 Agri seeder as well as the Evers front harrows, ideal for use in conjunction with an overseeder. These harrows activate the soil, breaking up lumps of slurry and muck, and stimulating new grass growth – performing grassland weeding, levelling, and harrowing in a single pass.
