Krone has completed its sixth generation of BiG Pack large square balers, with the launch of the BiG Pack Plus and redesigned BiG Pack Pro.
Both share pick-up technology, knotters, user interfaces, while adding additional features including moisture meters, working lights and additive applicators as standard.
“With the Plus and Pro models, we are, for the first time, giving our customers the opportunity to choose a
large square baler which precisely matches their scope of use and budget, rather than having to settle for a machine which requires compromises. This creates real added value both in the retail sector and in the field,” says André Wilmer, product manager for large square balers.
The Plus range comprises the BP 1270 (XC/VC), BP 1290 (XC) and BP HDP 1290 (XC) models is said to be a cost-effective offering. It features a Liebherr gearbox, EasyFlow pick-up and newly routed hydraulic and electric infrastructure.
XCut models feature a 26-blade cutting unit, with blade grouping, while the VariCut comes with 51 blades. The Variable Filling System and PowerClean Plus are both fitted as standard.
A BPW tandem axle is brought down from the Pro range, including a range of tyre sizes to suit conditions. The slim drawbar is said to be easy to adjust and is fitted with sturdy hose cabinet.
The rear chute is fitted with a weighing device and is BaleCollect ready.

On HDP machines, the bale channel has been redesigned, along with stronger side flap cylinders, reinforced yoke and side plunger blades.
