Replacing the previous 800 Series, the new Axion 8 flagship is powered by an FTP engine, producing 313hp with Dynamic Power to intelligently distribute power across the machine, boosting output without a requirement to be driving at a certain speed or to have the pto running.
Power is put to the ground through the company’s Cmatic continuously variable transmission, with a new housing to reduce noise. It can reach 40kph at just 1,300rpm and 50kph at 1,500rpm, with control through the Cmotion multifunction lever and a new Electropilot joystick that can have up to 30 programmable functions.
Auto Trailer Stretch Brake is part of the standard setup, pulsing the trailer brakes to safely slow the combination when travelling downhill.
The hydraulic circuit has an output of 205 litres/min, supplying up to five valves at the rear and two at the front. 1/2in valves are standard, with the option to swap out one for a 3/4in.
Brought down from the Axion 9, the new cab is larger than the previous generation with noise levels not exceeding 67dB. Integrated into the controls is the Cebis connect system and the Cemos operator assistance technology, which uses inputted data about the operation and implement to suggest tyre pressures and ballast.
