Fendt has updated its twin-track range of tractors, and the 1167 Vario MT is powered by a Man D42 engine, producing 680hp and 3,100Nm of torque, put to the ground through a newly developed TA 400 T continuously variable transmission.
According to the company, it is the only tractor in this power range to offer a stepless transmission, and it retains the Fendt iD low-speed concept seen in its wheeled tractors. The track systems have four mid-rollers, with a large drive wheel and high wrap angle to ensure efficient power transfer.
Ballasting can be fitted at the front, along the track systems and on the undercarriage for up to 7,780kg of extra weight and belt widths extend from 18in to 36in, with the machine staying under 3m wide with 27.5in tracks.
Dual hydraulic pumps are fitted, each producing 220 litres/min, supplying up to eight electronic valves, with the belts also hydraulically accelerated or decelerated to handle turning procedures. To improve implement following, the steering system is directly linked to the rear drawbar.
Fendt has completed the machine with the FendtOne cabin, bringing familiarity and the smart farming packages from its wheeled machine to this segment of tractor.
