Väderstad introduces new Spirit InLine combination drill

The latest Spirit 600C InLine combination seed drill from Väderstad is said to compliment the Nordic and Fix fertiliser application systems already available for the Spirit range. The InLine variant places a low fertiliser rate together with the seed in the furrow, providing the plant with quicker nutrient uptake to shorten the time of emergence.

An independent airflow system handles fertilisers distribution and can be easily adjusted. Metering of the fertiliser is via a Fenix electric system, the same used for seed distribution, and is said to be highly precise and non-corrosive. Split cells in the rotor and an angled exit from the metering unit also prevents any pulsing and ensures that all plants have the same access to fertiliser.

The company says that the InLine system will be highly beneficial when working with moderate levels of fertiliser. The Väderstad Spirit 600C InLine is available from October 2021.
