Noble Food welcomes new commercial development chef

The UK’s leading supplier of free-range eggs, Noble Foods, has announced the appointment of developmental chef David Parker to its marketing and innovation team.

In the new role of commercial development chef, Mr Parker will focus on product and ingredient innovations and drive forward a creative, culinary culture across the business. He will be responsible for developing egg-based products to expand the company’s out-of-home opportunities.

He will also build relationships across the food service sector, working closely with chefs and key decision makers to ensure that the company is front of mind for egg-related products.

Commenting on the role, Mr Parker said: “This is a very exciting time to join Noble Foods and to be thinking beyond shell egg. The company has a rich history and presence in the sector, and now is the time to look at the future and explore how Noble Foods can add value to the egg.”

He brings to the role 12 years of experience in culinary research and development, working at both Cargill and Kerry Foods, while most recently teaching at top culinary school Brompton Cookery School. He has previously led successful retail and food projects for Tesco and Compass Food Group.

Laura Sheard, marketing and innovation director said: “There is a huge opportunity for the business in the out-of-home category and through David’s appointment, we hope to tap into this to find new and innovative ways to use the humble egg.

“As the largest egg producer in the UK, it is time to look at new and creative ways to ensure we remain competitive and continue to drive demand for eggs and egg products, on behalf of our producers.

“Having worked in culinary research and development for both branded and own-label products, David has the perfect experience to help us drive these innovations. We look forward to sharing more in due course”.
