Amazone adds 6m model to Precea range

Amazone has announced that its trailed precision air seeder, the Precea, will now include a 6m model, complementing the existing 9m and 12m versions launched at Agritechnica.

The Precea 6000-TCC is available with either the Central Seed Supply system or with individual hoppers on each sowing unit, with both variants available with a 3,000-litre fertiliser hopper.

Row spacings can be set to 70cm, 75cm or 80cm, with the option of a 12-row unit with spacings of 45cm and 50cm available in the future.

When specified as a Central Seed Supply model, the machine is provided with an 850-litre hopper, with a self-regulating, pneumatic system to deliver seed to reception tanks at each sowing unit.

For models with individual hoppers, each sowing unit has a 70-litre tank mounted upon it, with the option of 17-litre microgranular applicators to apply multiple products in one pass.

Sowing is done with the PreTeC mulch coulter, with over-pressure singulation. To adjust this process, the three stripper fingers can be automatically controlled via the SmartControl system.

According to the company, the electrically-driven singling disc can operate accurately at working speeds of up to 15kph, with ground pressure maintained regardless of soil type thanks to the SmartForce automatic coulter pressure regulation.

The transport axle can be telescoped from the cabin, enabling the machine to remain with a 3m transport width, while also protecting crops when working in varying tramlines. There are also options for individual row shut-off for both seed and fertiliser.
