Claydon to bring a range of new products to Lamma

Claydon will exhibit at Lamma 2025 with a host of new products within the Opti-Till crop establishment system, including the Evolution Front Hopper, the Evolution Drill Toolbar with twin-twine fertiliser placement, and the new Mole Drainer.

David Furber, sales manager for the UK and ROI, states: “We will use LAMMA 2025 to promote the new Claydon Evolution Drill Toolbar and Evolution Front Hopper, showcasing our ability to offer flexible seed/fertiliser placement, meeting the requirements of the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) schemes and growing companion crops.

“The fact that also we have this option available on our 3m M3F Evolution and 6m T6 trailed drills demonstrates how we can offer farmers the option of generating additional income through the SFI, with ideal seed placement.”

The toolbar and front hopper work in conjunction, with working widths between 3m and 6m, with a single distribution head and 38mm hoses. A second distribution head can also be supplied for fertiliser application.

The capacity of the front hopper is 2,750 litres, split 45/55, and the unit is pressurised to deliver material in high volumes to the rear. Twin metering units enable products to be mixed or sent out individually and the whole unit is controlled via an Isocan terminal, with options for variable rate.

The Mole Drainer is a single-leg unit, said to combine trailed and mounted designs, suitable for well-ballasted tractors from 200hp. It has a long, narrow beam with a 75mm mole bullet and 100mm ceramic expander running parallel with it.

Said to be unique on the market, the oscillating headstock features a swivel joint, enabling easy manoeuvrability and for the machine to reach further into headland ditches or over drains.
