KRM to distribute new direct grass drill from Sola

KRM has announced a new addition to its direct drilling range. The GS300 direct grass seeder is manufactured by the Spanish company Sola, which has worked with KRM since 2012.

The Grass Seed (GS) model is designed to work within existing grass leys, using specifically designed disc coulters. A 400mm notched disc opener cuts through existing pasture, followed by the coulter which is angled at 5deg to ensure minimal disturbance.

A prizm-type roller consolidates after the coulters and is also used to set the sowing depth.

The GS300 is offered with a 300-litre pressurised tank for single products, with the option of a 2,000-litre tank that can be ordered as a split hopper for both seed and fertiliser.

A Sola Mini Seed hopper can also be mounted to sow up to three products in one pass.

When working in tough conditions, the tractor’s weight can be transferred to the drill via a hydraulic system, eliminating the need to fit weights and enabling a smaller tractor to handle the drill.

KRM will showcase the machine at the upcoming Cereals Event, with demo units available now.
