Kuhn debuts 13m mounted tedder at Lamma

Lamma 2025 saw the unveiling of Kuhn Farm Machinery’s GF 13003 13m mounted tedder.

Joining last year’s trailed tedder, the GF 13033 is said to be the widest-mounted tedder on the market.

The mounted design helps to increase accuracy and stability by placing the weight of the tedder over the rear of the tractor, to avoid the implement slipping when working on hillsides.

Rhodri Jenkins, grassland product specialist, comments: “For users after increased output from a mounted tedder, the GF 13003 offers improved manoeuvrability, and the ability reach fields through narrow lanes and gateways. The clever design means all 12 rotors fold into a 2.99m transport width and a 2.67m transport height.”

Additionally, the Oblique setting pivots the two outer rotors rearwards when tedding on headlines, to maintain forage quality and prevent losses on field margins. This ensures all tedded grass is thrown back onto the cut area, all without requiring an additional hydraulic supply.

The tedder features just one gearbox and two hydraulic valves for simple operation. Kuhn claims that the uprated arms and heavy-duty tines, alongside a new Optitedd rotor, should improve longevity, reducing service and maintenance requirements.

Rhodri adds: “Further developments on the GF 13003 include rotor wheel deflectors as standard to prevent grass build-up around the wheels and column. This is especially useful in long crops and young high-sugar crops.”

Existing Kuhn features are also available, such as the Headland Lift Control or the Digidrive system, offering maintenance-free rotors.
