New high capacity tedder from Vicon

The new Fanex 1564C tedder from Vicon is designed to optimise production, precision and operator comfort, with its new ground following precision system for all crop types.

The 15.6 m tedder has 14 small diameter rotors, the design of which provides generous overlap between the individual rotors for equal and efficient crop pick-up and turning, across the tedder’s entire working width.

A single acting valve ram operates the Fanex 1564C tedder’s raising and lowering mechanisms, while a double action valve ram produces the folding action. The tedder folds to a transport width below 3m, so that it can be driven on the road, as a trailer would.

The Fanex is also fitted with 380/55-17 tyres as standard, with 500/50-17 tyres available as an option, for greater machine stability.

    TerraFlow

Vicon’s solution to crop turning, rather than soil disturbance, is the unique TerraFlow system.

The TerraFlow system connects the tedder unit and carrier frame so that the 14 rotors are able to flex and adapt to ground contours, independent of the carrier frame. Because of which, the tine to ground distance remains consistent for clean, accurate and uniform crop flows.
