Vicon’s newest chamber baler option for professional farmers and contractors

The Vicon FixBale 500 chamber baler model can now be specified with a film-on-film applicator option, for those looking to gain the silage quality improvements which are claimed to come with this technique.

The FixBale 500 incorporates an 18 roller bale chamber and a PowerBind net injection system, to bend to the differing characteristics of film compared to net; electrically operated groupers collect the film into a tail at the start and finish of the cycle.

With the PowerBind system, the 500 baler can handle a wide range of pre-stretch ratios and roll widths of up to 1300mm – for a variety of supplier films.

The FixBale 500 has a 2.3m-wide pick-up, heavy-duty bale chamber rollers (running on 50mm diameter bearings) and a new larger diameter intake rotor with a revised drop floor system. The amended drop floor has a more rounded profile, under the rotor, as well as a parallelogram action for better clearance under the front and rear of the rotor.

A 15 knife SuperCut pre-chopping system is available as an optional addition to the FixBale 500; the model is equipped as standard with automatic chain lubrication and bearing greasing systems.
