Massey Ferguson to offer new transmission in telehandler range

Massey Ferguson has announced that the new Dyna-CT transmission will be fitted to three of the MF TH telehandler range.

“Thanks to the Dyna-CT transmission, farmers will be able to gain extra automation, enhancing productivity; they will improve their comfort while reducing operating costs,” says Jérôme Aubrion, director of marketing, Massey Ferguson, Europe & Middle East.

The MF TH.6534, TH.7038 and TH.8043 will be available with the new transmission as an option, replacing the standard hydrostatic gearbox. It’s a continuous system, with no mechanical transfer.

According to the company, operators simply need to choose between the Hare and Tortoise range using a button on the joystick, which can be done on the move and even while pushing or pulling heavy loads.

The top range provides continuous acceleration from 0-40kph, while the Tortoise range limits the maximum speed to 20kph.

It’s programmed through the 7in terminal, with a speed limiter, automatic engine start and stop, cruise control and dynamic management to boost fuel efficiency. The latter enables the pedal to be used to control travel speed, with the engine and transmission automatically managed to keep engine revs to a minimum.
