A very compact unit from Farmtrac, the FT 25 GHST is an electric tractor, with a 380AH lithium-ion battery pack powering a 15kW motor – equivalent to 21hp. Maximum torque levels from the motor are said to be 90Nm.
It’s designed for specialist applications in the amenity and horticultural sectors, with power put to the ground through a 3×3 transmission for a top speed of 17.5kph.
Thanks to the electric power supply, the tractor offers reduced vibrations and balanced power steering for the operator. At the rear, there is an 800kg capacity rear linkage and two mechanical spool valves producing 20 litres per minute.
Farmtrac further states that the benefits of electric power go beyond emissions, with fewer moving parts than a diesel engine which means less wear and tear, resulting in less maintenance for the owner, making this a cost-effective option.
The Farmtrac FT 25 GHST is also a finalist in the Sustainable ToTY category.
