Triple auger diet feeders added to Kuhn range

Kuhn Farm Machinery has extended its range of diet feeders, with cross-conveyor feeding, by launching a four-model range of triple vertical auger machines.

The Euromix 3 CL series offers hopper capacities from 28 cubic metries up to 45. Three vertical augers, along with the polygonal shape of the tub, are designed to achieve rapid break-up of whole bales, with a continous spiral and seven knives with asymmetric teeth. The design of the knives is said to have a self-cleaning effect and they work against two counter knives for faster chopping and enhanced mixing.

Each model is fitted with an anti-overflow ring, increasing the height of the hopper to prevent losses.

Feed distribution is via a large clearance hatch to the left or right of the machine, with a broad, hydraulically driven cross-conveyor at each end. It is also possible to specify rear discharge to left or right of the machine.

As standard, a programmable weighing system is equipped, allowing pre-set mixing times and storage of ingrediants and rations in the system memory to accurately control rationing. Customers can also specify the Intellimix advanced control system, featuring a continuously variable transmission, which is integrated into the tractor controls via ISOBUS.

This automatically adjusts auger speeds in response to loading to optimise power usage and potentially reduce start-up torque by up to 50%.

The range is completed by a series of automated features. Opening and closing the hopper door triggers the switch between auto-mix and auto-feed modes, and auger speed can be pre-set in relation to varying conditions in the hopper.
