    Dairy Crest price cut

Dairy Crest today announces that it will reduce the milk price it pays to its Davidstow farmers by 0.75ppl* to 30.25ppl, from 1st March 2018. This has been agreed with Dairy Crest Direct (DCD).

“As commodity markets continue to fall we have taken the decision to move our milk price down to remain competitive but we are pleased to be holding it above 30ppl for a sixth consecutive month,” said Chris Thomson, Group Procurement Director at Dairy Crest.

“We continue to work closely with DCD to ensure that we pay our farmers a fair price for their milk.”

DCD Chairman, Steve Bone, said: “We must unfortunately accept that dairy markets have weakened but we are working hard, as always, on our members’ behalf to minimise the impact on our milk price.”Dairy
