Dairy-Tech 2020 on track to sell out

The Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers, organiser of Dairy-Tech, say the 2020 show is set to be its biggest yet.  Taking place at Stoneleigh Park on 5 February it has already seen over 80% of its exhibition space sold and many headline sponsors confirmed.

Managing director Matthew Knight explains how the show will not house an outdoor area this year but will instead open a fourth, machinery and innovation, hall in a bid to optimise visitor footfall and further focus on new innovation.

“It’s vital to keep improving the event by evolving its content and nurturing relationships with our exhibitors, sponsors and partners.  Our aim is to deliver a show that is informative, packed with new products and tangible to all dairy farmers regardless of their size or system type.

“If every visitor goes home with one new piece of information to implement on farm our job is done.”

Over 50 new products were launched at Dairy-Tech earlier this year indicating the forward-thinking nature of the events exhibitors.  A whole host of new concepts and technology were showcased, demonstrating the industry’s support in regarding it as the leading technical event for new products and innovation.

Dairy-Tech 2019 also saw its visitor and exhibitor numbers grow and its seminar programmes flourish with record breaking crowds, all contributing to an immensely positive day for the industry.

Paul Flanagan, strategy director at AHDB Dairy says he is delighted that AHDB is continuing as Technical Partner for Dairy-Tech 2020.  “For me the most memorable thing about Dairy-Tech is the positive atmosphere at the show, as everyone is keen to learn and improve. We at AHDB have the opportunity to talk with lots of forward-looking dairy farmers, take part in some great debates and meet a host of progressive companies.”

Dairy-Tech TV presenter and renowned hill farmer Gareth Wyn Jones also commented on the positivity surrounding not only the show but the sector itself.

“It’s amazing to see so many of the industry’s leading dairy producers in the same room, all full of energy about the future.  Dairy-Tech really is a unique show leading the way for progressive dairy farming and new products.”

Whilst many visitors travelled from across the UK the one day event also saw a number of overseas visitors including Jesse Martin and his wife from Virginia in the USA.

Mr Martin said he had heard about the event from automation giant Lely and wanted to include a visit as part of a trip to the UK and Ireland to learn more about agricultural practices outside of the US.

“Dairy-Tech was far more than we expected – we were genuinely impressed by the quality of the show.  Having attended many agricultural events in the United States we didn’t know what to expect and were blown away by the variety of experts, exhibitors and products present.  Dairy-Tech is a must visit for anyone looking to develop their dairy and learn about the newest concepts. Paula and I hope to attend again and we have walked away with friends and contacts that will last a lifetime.”

Further visitor information, including new products and speaker hub programmes will be released in the coming months.  Our exhibitor loyalty rate has now ended with all companies being able to take advantage of the early bird rate until 15th July before our standard rate starts, running up until the show.  For further information on the event or booking a stand please contact office@rabdf.co.ukor call 02476 639317.
