Claydon to bring new and established products to Cereals

Claydon will attend the Cereals Event on the 11th and 12th of June, bringing with it a host of new and established products from its Opti-Till system.

David Furber, sales manager for the UK and ROI, states: “We will use the event to showcase our ability to offer flexible seed/fertiliser placement, meeting the requirements of the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) schemes and those who are growing companion crops.

“The fact that also we have this option available on our 3m M3F Evolution and 6m T6 trailed drills demonstrates how we can offer flexible drilling systems that can benefit the soil structure and crops.”

The stand will include the company’s latest NutriSeeder, available as an option for the Claydon straw harrow, with single or dual hopper options.

A range of metering wheels enable seed rates of up to 30kg/ha for wheat, 15kg/ha for grass seed and 25kg/ha for cover crop mixes, at a forward speed of 15kph.

Elsewhere on the stand, the company will highlight the Evolution Front Hopper, with a capacity of 2,750 litres split 45/55. It is fully Isobus compatible and offered with different metering wheels to suit a variety of seeds and fertilisers.

Options for the Evolution Front Hopper include 550kg of ballast, as well as packer wheels, with passive steering and wheel scrapers, and a light-vision kit including two external and two tank cameras.

The Front Hopper can be combined with the Evolution Drill Toolbar, available in working widths 3m, 4m, 4.8m, 5 or 6m, offered as standard with a single distribution head, with the option to add a second distributor for fertiliser.

Finally, Claydon will showcase the Mole Drainer, said to combine the benefits of a mounted and trailed machine, and suitable for tractors from 200hp.

From the three-point linkage, a long narrow beam is fitted with the 75mm mole bullet and 100mm ceramic expander, enabling the machine to run parallel and create a stable channel.

The oscillating headstock features a swivel joint, said to make the machine easy to manoeuvre and reach further into ditches or over drains.

Tickets are still available for Cereals. Use the discount code FC50 at checkout for 50% off.
