The Myerscough College Livestock Innovation Centre will host Vogelsang on the 22nd of July to showcase the company’s range of slurry separation technology.
“Myerscough College is the perfect venue to demonstrate the Vogelsang XSplit separator. For this demonstration, we will have both the standard XSplit Lift Frame Pro and the XSplit Compact,” says Vogelsang’s Andy Hayhurst.
The company states that interest has grown in separators, especially with the availability of grant funding. The units can mitigate storage issues and improve nutrient application accuracy.
“Separators offer an affordable way to make better use of slurry. The liquid fraction is rich in nitrogen, and, using soil and slurry testing along with variable rate application, operators can ensure the right amount of nutrients is applied when the soil and crop need them. For anyone who has applied for an FETF grant, the demo day will be a great opportunity to see how they could benefit from their investment,” says Andy.
The solid fraction is a good source of P and K, making it suitable for top dressing.
The event will take place from 10am until 2pm, at Myerscough College Livestock Innovation Centre, St Michael’s Road, Bilsborrow, Lancashire, PR3 0RY.
