Fast-fit fun highlights time-saving technology at LAMMA 2020

A new fast-fit flail system for Kuhn hedge cutters will provide the focal point for some intense competition on the company’s LAMMA 2020 stand as visitors go toe-to-toe to win scale models of the machine.

A 1.2m Kuhn hedge cutter flail head rotor, fitted with 24 fast-fit flails, will be centre stage on the Kuhn stand, with visitors being invited to compete for the fastest complete flail change.

Whilst providing a light-hearted attraction for the more competitive visitors, the competition will showcase a new fast-fit system that allows flails to be changed quickly, without tools, and with complete safety in use. The system will be available from September 2020 on Kuhn’s Agri-Longer GII, Multi-Longer, Poly-Longer and Pro-Longer hedge cutter models, and can be retrofitted. The flails, which are held securely with a precision engineered shaft that inter-locks with the two rotor lugs, are priced the same as conventional flails.

The fast-fit flail competition will run throughout the two days of LAMMA 2020, with a scale model of the Kuhn Pro-Longer with tractor awarded as a prize for the fastest complete flail change during each morning and afternoon session of the event.
