Latest Knight innovations on show at Cereals Event

The Cereals Event (30 June/1 July) will offer the first opportunity to see the latest updates to the Knight Farm Machinery range of trailed and self-propelled sprayers.

One example will be the 1800 series self-propelled model with a lower-set cab, introduced to reduce the centre of gravity.

“The lower cab position enables us to offer a greater range of wider two-fold booms, which will cut folding/unfolding times and reduce machine weight – an important consideration for some customers,” said David Main, Knight’s sales manager.

The company will also show the latest 1850 self-propelled model featuring a 5,000-litre spray tank, to complement the 1835 (3,500-litre spray tank) and 1840 (4,000 litres) models already in the range. In addition, Knight also offers a 2000 series, with tank sizes up to 6,000 litres and 40m booms. Both series feature intelligent four-wheel steer with automatic hillside correction.

All self-propelled machines are also fitted with Stage V engines.

Knight has also uprated the Trailblazer range of trailed machine. Trailblazer Pro machines feature a sprung drawbar to match the tractor pulling it, which offers a more even ride, as well as simplified plumbing, an air purge system, automatic cleaning and a new induction hopper.

Trailblazer-LITE sprayers offer a 3,600-litre spray tank, 24m boom and an active air suspended axle, with single nozzle bodies, a Muller Smart 430 controller and the MAXImiser plumbing system.

Furthermore, the company offers a demount unit for JCB 4000 tractors, with either a compact V-fold boom or a simple Gullwing unit, tank sizes from 2,500 to 3,000 litres and the option of a front tank up to 1,900 litres. There is also the Xtra mounted range, running from 1,300 to 1,900 litres, which can be combined with a front tank to increase capacity.

All machines are offered with ISOBUS connectivity and now feature under-boom lighting to help monitor spray performance, single-nozzle switching systems and a boom-mounted nozzle cleaning and checking kit.
