Log your dairy training at the click of a button

Attendance at training events can now be automatically logged at the click of a button, thanks to the newly-updated Dairy Pro app which detects the location of your phone and checks it against events scheduled to take place that day.

Given the ‘thumbs up’ by visitors to Dairy-Tech on 7 February who put it through its paces, the app can be downloaded to any smart device that is supported by Android, Windows or Apple. A one-off log-in to Dairy Pro with membership details will provide a detailed view of training profiles, individual event points and summaries for the whole farm business.

Helen Brookes, Dairy Pro manager, says the clever addition with this new version of the app is location detection, that compares your location against the events scheduled for that date and time.

“So provided the location detection on your phone is switched on, the app can do all the work for you, leaving you with a simple click of a button to register for the event you are attending,” explains Helen.

“Your points for attending the event will then be added to your or your farm’s record, depending on the type of membership you have. It couldn’t be simpler!”

Once clicked, the record of attendance is sent straight to the Dairy Pro team meaning the training profile can often be updated before the event has even finished. This makes it easier than ever to keep all your training in one place and produce on demand.

Other developments coming to the Dairy Pro app this year are a fully searchable calendar of events, with the same search functionality as the website. For full instructions to download the app click here (http://dairypro.co.uk/mobile-app) or visit the Dairy Pro website at www.dairypro.co.uk.
