    Amazone opens subsidiary in China

On 1 August, 2015 Amazonen-Werke officially opened their new subsidiary in China. The business, called “Amazone Agricultural Machinery (Tianjin) Co. Ltd.”, is located in Tianjin, a town of several million inhabitants situated ap-proximately one and a half hours drive from Beijing. Amongst those present at the opening were Dr. Justus Dreyer, managing partner of Amazone, Andreas Hemeyer, Amazone sales manager & board member and Kim Nielsen, man-ager of the subsidiary.

The new subsidiary primarily serves as a sales and service base but, at the same time, also provides the possibility to assemble Amazone machinery locally. The building of the subsidiary features a covered area of around 3,000 m² and represents a total investment of approximately one million Euros.

Currently the demand for Amazone machinery in China is already very posi-tive. The entire product programme is offered, from soil tillage equipment and seed drills right through to fertiliser spreaders and crop protection sprayers. Amazone seed drills and precision air seeders as well as the entire ZA fertil-iser spreader programme have already sold well above average.

Now it is the objective to establish from this new base an efficient sales organisation backed up by a nationwide dealer network in order to intensively grow this future market in China. In the medium term, Amazone intends to achieve a double digit million turnover.
