An East Yorkshire farm machinery importer has extended its range of Unia farm machinery with the launch of a new vertical folding disc mower.
Market Weighton based Manterra Ltd is Unia’s sole UK importer and has high hopes for the new improved version of the proven Alka CL Disc Mower. Available in a range of sizes, it features hydraulic folding for transport, hydro pneumatic control of the mowing bar, an overrun safety device and a swath conditioner option.
Manterra founder, Andrew Manfield said: “The new Alka CL Disc Mower leads the field in terms of price competitiveness, a proven cutter bed and an ability to withstand challenging terrain.
“It is available in widths from 2.4 metres to 3.2 metres. Prices start at £5,950 and run to £8,950 for a 3.2 metre machine with conditioner, setting new standards for value and quality in this market sector.”
Manterra is also an authorised reseller for Trimble precision agriculture products and Duport spoke wheel injectors and is the key technology supplier to the Stockbridge Technology Centre’s Tru-Nject project that has secured Innovate UK funding for a three year trial to commercialise innovative soil nutrient mapping technology that has the potential to revolutionise farming practices.
