Grimme announces deals to kickstart new year

Conscious of the pressures impacting growers, Grimme UK has announced a series of money-saving promotions to mark the start of 2024.

The company is offering delayed payments on irrigation equipment, with customers able to buy now and pay later for new, in-stock reels. The offer covers the Primus 630, 550 and 490 hoses priced at £41,350, £39,515 and £36,095 respectively.

Payment for orders placed in January 2024 will not be due until January 2025, with all reels coming with a two-year parts warranty and pre-delivery inspection as standard.

Flexible payment plans have also been announced for the company’s carrot, parsnip and onion machine. Immediate delivery is available on KP 1700, GT 170 and CR 1510A machines, with customers able to take advantage of deferred payment or 0% finance.

Finally, Grimme UK will offer a fixed price per hectare on its Rexor range of sugar beet harvesters, allowing contractors to fix costs over the next five years – including servicing and replacement wearing metal.

Based on a Rexor 6200, covering 1,000 hectares per year, the cost would be £120 per hectare.

“There’s no doubt that 2023 was a really challenging year for British farming. Rapidly rising fertiliser prices, utility bills, a lack of labour, wage increases and some terrible weather made it a year to forget for many,” said Nathan Hotchen, sales manager. “Hopefully, our three new year promotions will make things a bit easier for growers looking to purchase irrigation reels or harvesting machinery.”
