New universal engine oil for modern agricultural vehicles launched

Industry leader Fuchs Lubricants has launched a new universal engine oil for modern agricultural vehicles, providing many benefits including outstanding wear protection and engine cleanliness.

Agrifarrm MOT X-LA SAE 10W-40 is a premium performance engine oil which has been specially developed for agricultural vehicles with modern exhaust after-treatment (EPA Tier 4 / EU Stage IV).

The innovative product also offers backwards compatibility meaning it is ideal as a rationalisation product as it is suitable for older vehicles too.

For customers with many different vehicles, this could lead to significant cost savings and a reduction of product options, helping to avoid misapplication.

Rosemary Mellor, UK Automotive Product Manager, said: “We are delighted to be able to add this product to our comprehensive agricultural portfolio.

“Agrifarrm MOT X-LA SAE 10W-40 is a premium low-SAPS engine oil which, due to its low ash content, offers optimum protection for diesel particulate filters and catalysts and ensures improved durability.

“The product has two approvals and fulfils the requirement of modern Tier 4 engines – but what’s more, the new additive technology provides a high neutralisation potential and is suitable in older vehicles with poor fuel qualities.”

The product fulfils the European specification ACEA E9 and the American API CJ-4, meaning it can be used in a wide range of vehicles, including those made by John Deere, Doosan, JCB, Valtra, Zetor, CASE IH, Challenger, Kubota, Steyr and Fendt.

Agrifarrm MOT X-LA SAE 10W-40 is available in 20 litre packs and 205 litre barrels.

The lubricant exceeds conventional UHDP lubricants in versatility and performance.

It prevents deposits in engines and turbochargers and promotes excellent piston cleanliness. It has superior cold start properties, low oil consumption and is suitable for longest drain-intervals.

Agrifarrm MOT X-LA SAE 10W-40 helps to protect from poor fuel qualities due to a high TBN.

In order to fully utilise the product’s benefits, mixing with other engine oils should be avoided. A complete oil change is recommended.
