Total Lubrifiants introduces Total Tractagri T4R, a new range designed for agricultural professionals

With the new Total Tractagri T4R range, Total Lubrifiants has further evolved its products designed for agricultural professionals. This next generation of lubricants was formulated to meet the specific needs of the agricultural sector, especially in terms of product rationalization. Total Tractagri T4R has profited from Total’s expertise and is now the latest edition to a large portfolio of specialized oils that tackle challenges within the agricultural industry. With Total Tractagri T4R, Total offers a practical and economical solution that is adapted to the needs of agricultural professionals: fuel economy, engine protection and lower CO2 emissions.

Total Tractagri T4R 10W-40 and T4R FE 5W-30, two lubricants perfectly suited to all types of diesel engines.

Total Tractagri T4R meets the specifications and requirements of most manufacturers specialized in engines for agricultural machines.

Through Total Tractagri T4R 10W-40 and T4R FE 5W-30, Total meets the following oil structure specifications: E6 / E9 / E7 / E4 set by the ACEA (The European Automobile Manufacturers) as well as the CJ-4 / CI-4 / CI-4 + set by the API (American Petroleum Institute).

Tailored to the engines of biggest players in the agricultural world (Caterpillar, John Deere, Agco…), Total Tractagri T4R also gets the approval of main manufacturers in this sector (Mercedes, Deutz, Man …).

These “new generation” lubricants are well suited to both newer and older equipments alike and thanks to its formulation, Total Tractagri T4R accommodates the needs of longer drain intervals, while limiting the fouling of agricultural engines providing higher engine performance.

    Advanced technology for proven performance

Total Tractagri T4R is available in two viscosities: 5W-30 and 10W-40. Both meet the European Stage IV and EPA Tier 4 final emission standards.

Thanks to the Low-SAPS technology, Total Tractagri T4R FE 5W-30 and 10W-40 are lubricants with extremely low sulfated ash, phosphorus and sulfur content. These specifications ensure optimum operation of diesel engines that are equipped with a post-treatment system. Consequently, particle filters are totally protected from sludge build-up therefore prolonging the engine’s life. Additionally, the technology developed for Total Tractagri T4R FE 5W-30 effectively reduces CO2 emissions from agricultural engines.

Total Tractagri T4R 10W-40 is characterized by its high resistance to pressure overload between moving parts of the engine. And both these agricultural lubricants by Total are proficient in lubricating engine components that are subjected to high temperatures, especially in summer. This can be credited to the reinforced viscosity of Total Tractagri T4R that protects the agricultural machines and results in less engine failures.

Finally, thanks to its Fuel Economy technology, Total Tractagri T4R FE 5W-30 saves more fuel in comparison to a grade 40 lubricant.

According to Stefaan De Ganck – Global Marketing Manager Total Lubrifiants Automotive “in order to meet the needs of our customers with ‘all in one’ products, we wanted to design innovative and high-end products. Our new Total Tractagri T4R lubricants are adapted to the latest technical developments and cover all international specifications (ACEA and API). They will offer a real rationalization solution to our customers equipped with multi-brand equipment.”
