New Holland has taken its FR650 Forager, nicknamed ‘The Beast’, on a UK demonstration tour visiting dealerships based around the south and south east of England and the south and west of Wales.

The Forager has been covered in an eye-catching vehicle wrap depicting a raging bull, which has been designed to highlight the powerful performance and versatility of the machine.

Features of the FR650 include a PowerCruise™ II function which maximises the machine throughput using parameters set by the operator, boosting the tons produced per hour as well as saving fuel. An IntelliView™ screen option provides user guidance information through mapping and camera functions. Other key features include a Stage V FPT Cursor 16 straight-6 Turbo 16L FPT engine; powerful blowing performance with a 3-piece paddle blower; the largest diameter cutting cylinder on the market which allows for high inertia and capacity and a warranty on the cutterhead.

New Holland hay and forage product specialist, Sion Whittingham, said: “The New Holland Forage Cruiser range is turning heads in the fields due to its chop quality and the overall performance , focusing on throughput and fuel savings. The feedback from customers of the FR650 to date has been great. Overall they have been very surprised with the power and torque backup of the FPT engine and have commented on the low noise level of the cab. We have showcased the FR650 to several contractors already and there is plenty more to come so keep your eyes peeled.”

David Rapkins, New Holland business director UK and ROI said: ”We are delighted to see the New Holland FR650 Forage Cruiser creating such a buzz. This tour has certainly raised interest and created awareness among farmers and contractors alike which proves this machine is a major player within the hay and forage marketplace.”

The FR650 Forage Cruiser tour will continue until the end of June 2023.
