Glenn Bootman of Opico builds on his knowledge with Alpego and Ovlac

Glenn Bootman is extending his 30 years of expertise in cultivation and tillage equipment by becoming product manager for the Alpego and Ovlac brands, which Opico has been appointed to distribute in the UK.

Commenting on the new brands Glenn said: “The Alpego and Ovlac brands add some new types of machines to our already extensive line-up allowing Opico to offer a full range of cultivation products for the broad spectrum of arable farming systems employed in the UK today.”

Glenn joined the company in 2011 as a territory manager and became the company’s HE-VA product specialist in 2019. He will continue his territory role covering the South-Central England area.

Glenn’s passion for agriculture and machinery initially came from growing up around his family’s haulage and agricultural contracting business. Glenn started his career at Dowdeswell Engineering as a demonstrator and was later promoted to product manager, a role that allowed him to travel the world, “from Iceland to Australia experiencing many different forms of agriculture around the globe.” he explains.

James Woolway, Opico managing director said: “Glenn’s extensive practical knowledge of agricultural machinery is a true asset to the Opico brands, his experience enables him to provide colleagues, dealers and farmers with all the in-depth technical information they need and relate it to practical day to day farming.”
