Helping you to become an ’employer of choice’: AHDB’s AgriLeader campaign

AHDB have already launched the first instalment of their AgriLeader Labour Life Cycle campaign, which is designed to assist farmers in finding the right workers and becoming a choice employer. On Wednesday, October 19, a podcast featuring a farmer case study came out.

However, AHDB has a five-part webinar series launching on Wednesday, October 26, which will host a range of speakers and cover topics such as recruitment, onboarding, management, and staff development and progression.

Alongside, farmers will also have access to a library of online information and resources that offer information and advice for writing a job advert or carrying out interviews and staff reviews.

Izak Van Heerden, leader of the AgriLeader programme, said: “Trying to find the right people, with the rights skills, at the right time is one of the most frequent topics of conversation amongst farmers these days – highlighting that labour is one of the biggest challenges farmers are currently facing.

“That is why the AgriLeader team have pulled together a number of resources to help farmers become “the employer of choice” by taking those first small steps. Whether you like to listen, read, watch or do, the Labour Life Cycle resources has something for everyone, and for whichever stage of the employment cycle you’re at, the AHDB’s Labour Lifecycle offers value to your farming business.”
