Crop production specialist Hutchinsons has announced new appointments to lead the company as it prepares for the future. The company has seen significant growth in its 85-year history, and since 2008 has been led by David Hutchinson in his role of chairman of H L Hutchinson Ltd and also of Hutchinson Group Ltd.
Recognising the growth and scale of the business, David has decided to focus his time as chairman of Hutchinson Group Ltd, while remaining a director of H L Hutchinson Ltd to continue to support his colleagues.
Succeeding David as chairman of H L Hutchinson Ltd is current managing director Andrew McShane, who has been with the business since 1993 and in his current role since 2008. Stepping into the managing director position is Gordon McKechnie, who was finance director until taking the role on the 1st of January.
David Hutchinson said: “The commitment to long-term sustainability and growth remains a core principle for Hutchinsons. These leadership changes are carefully planned to ensure that Hutchinsons continues to have a very positive future for many years to come. “
