The National Association of Agricultural Contractors (NAAC) has announced a specialist land drainage training day, to be held at Harper Adams on the 30th of January (with a second event on the 31st if there is demand).
With rain and standing water still causing problems across the country, the organisation believes that now is the opportune time for land managers to think about drainage. The course is aimed at anyone involved in agricultural or sports drainage and those looking to gain a greater understanding.
A series of specialist speakers will present the course:
- Professor Dick Godwin and Dr Paula Misiewicz from Harper Adams will take on the principles of water, soil and drainage
- Rob Donald, Sports and Spaces, covering sports turf drainage
- Fred Clarke from Mastenbroek, talking through the latest machinery, technology and drainage design.
