Lemken creates multi-tool from Rubin 10 disc harrow

The semi-mounted compact disc harrow Rubin 10 TF from Lemken has been updated to increase versatility. Available in working widths from 4m up to 7m, the spacing between the toolbars has been increased by 150mm to 1,350mm to enable organic matter to settle after the first row of discs. As well as improving the performance of the second set of discs, Lemken states that this will reduce the risk of blockages when working in high levels of crop residues.

In addition to the straw harrow front tool, the company has also introduced two new attachments. The levelling tine section is brought across from the Heliodor compact disc harrow and presses down soil clods ahead of the cutting discs. There are two levels of intensity for the levelling tines to suit conditions.

A new cutting roller has also been introduced, said to be particularly useful following oilseed rape. The six blades cut and shred organic matter ahead of the disc sections. To reduce the risk of material build up, the blades have a helical design and the section has an open layout to allow material to pass through.

Both the semi-mounted and mounted Rubin 10 machines have also been fitted with a quick-change system for the rear rollers, enabling growers to switch between the different options available.
