Alpego to relaunch combination drill at Cereals

UK importer Opico will showcase Alpego’s 6m DTEK power harrow combination drill, paired with an ASPro front hopper, at this year’s Cereals.

The DTEK Rapido power harrow features the Twin Force TEK system, matched pairs of rotors with calibrated taper roller bearings to build tolerances across the trough.

Rapido quick-fit drop forged tines are fitted as standard, with two tungsten carbide options available. Three rear rollers are offered; a notched steel trapeze ring press, a rubber ridge roller and a conventional type packer.

As an option, hydraulic depth adjustment can also be fitted.

Mounted on the back of the power harrow is the seeding bar, with spacings of 12.5cm or 15cm. Disc coulters are 355mm in diameter and constructed with boron, mounted to the toolbar via a rubber shock absorber.

The discs are also fitted with maintenance-free taper-roller bearings. The layout is staggered for a good throughput of soil and trash, with up to 60kg of downforce to work in all soil conditions.

Hydraulic coulter lift is standard, enabling the power harrow to be used independently when areas of the field need more intensive cultivation, and the toolbar can be taken off in just 15 minutes according to the company

    Front and rear combinations

Opico states that the combination of the power harrow and toolbar with a front-mounted tank provides an even weight distribution across both axles, keeping compaction and deep wheelings to a minimum.

The ASPro hopper offers a 1,900-litre capacity, with a stainless steel Dosal electric metering system which offers rates from 2kg/ha up to 450kg/ha.

Using the RDS Super control box, rates can be adjusted from the cab without changing the metering rollers, as well as monitoring of the fan speed and seed level.

Electronic half-width shut-off is standard, and Isobus compatibility is available.
