Kuhn highlights machines available for grant funding

The announcement of the latest round of the Farming Equipment and Technology Fund (FETF) has come with acknowledgements from manufacturers about which machines are eligible.

Kuhn Farm Machinery notes that the Rowliner interrow hoe with camera guidance, as well as the three small seed hoppers in the SH range meet the requirements set by Defra. Grants between £1,000 and £25,000 are available for single items that fit within productivity, slurry management and animal health and welfare.

Kuhn’s range of machines fits within the productivity theme, with FETF7, 6m interrow hoe, and FETF207, air drill for establishing cover crops, both eligible for up to 50% contribution to the purchase price.

Edd Fanshawe, arable product specialist, says these grants could be ideal for farmers and growers to justify investments at a tough time.

“Any financial support towards purchasing a machine that can improve efficiencies, increase productivity, or allow greater flexibility is worth considering. The SH hoppers are popular additions to cultivators and drills to apply small seed crops in the same pass, reducing diesel use and releasing time for other jobs.”

Applications open on the 29th of May and will close at midday on the 10th of July.
