Nokian recommends pairing CTIS with the Soil King VF

According to Tero Saari, product manager at Nokian Tyres, the company’s very high flexion (VF) range of tyres can help operators get the most out of their central tyre inflation systems (CTIS).

“It is worth bearing in mind that the value provided by the system largely depends on the suitability of the tyre,” he says.

“Soil King VF is ‘CTIS Ready’ in an advanced way. Its Flexforce VF technology combines high flexibility and strength in a unique way, providing top performance at different pressure levels.”

He adds that the Flexforce technology includes an advanced carcass that enables the tyre to deform in a controlled way, supporting the tyre at different pressures.

“When working in the field and the tyre pressure is lowered, the profile of a Flexforce tyre effectively flattens, allowing for maximum tread pattern contact with the ground. The tyre has a large pattern contact as it is, but it improves further as the pressure is reduced.”

In a comparison test held by the DLG, the Soil King range was found to reduce tractor fuel consumption in both field and transport use against competing premium brands.

“The Nokian Tyres Soil King VF tyre has been designed from the ground up to best complement the central tyre inflation system. The special tread pattern combines features for both field and road – a new era of tyres for CTIS systems,” Tero concludes.

Nokian tyres are imported into the UK by Nordic Tyres, part of GB Tyres. For more information go to www.nordictyres.com
