Cereals releases farming rap anthem ahead of 2025 event

The Cereals Event has released a rap song to promote this year’s event, which takes place at Heath Farm on 11-12 June.

Sandy Kirkpatrick had the idea for the video, and starred in it, to help promote the event and raise awareness of issues affecting the farming community.

Mr Kirkpatrick, who runs agricultural marketing consultancy Farm Stock, said: “We all know the pressures facing farmers this year, so I wanted to use the idea to bring some positivity to the industry while promoting the event itself.”

He added: “Cereals, at its core, exists to help farmers future-proof their businesses, and I hope the track demonstrates how we can do that”.

The Cereals Event will allow farmers to see 420 exhibitors showcasing the latest innovations, products and expert knowledge in farming.

“With over 420 exhibitors and more than 20,000 attendees expected, Cereals 2025 will serve as a catalyst for collaboration across farming, research, government and industry,” said event director Alli McEntyre.

Taking place across two days, the event will have live demonstrations and dedicated zones for agronomy, technology, machinery, business, education, regenerative farming practices and Sustainable Farming Incentive updates.

“Cereals 2025 aims to empower farmers with practical solutions – whether that’s smarter crop choices, sustainable rotations, or agri-tech innovation. Our industry is resilient, and this year’s event reflects that spirit of adaptation and leadership,” she added.

The music video was filmed at Rand Brothers, Royston and features their fleet of tractors, including a John Deere 9620rx, 8R and Fendt 1162.
