‘Connecting with your soils’ to be launched at Groundswell 2025 by Hutchinsons

Hutchinsons’ theme at this year’s Groundswell event is “Connecting with your soils”.

Visitors to the Hutchinsons stand will have the opportunity to meet with technical soil specialists, who will share knowledge on how to assess and manage soil to optimise performance and support profitable, long-term crop production.

The stand will feature physical soil analysis with a Terramap Soil Scanning System, which offers high-resolution soil mapping. Terramap also delivers the most accurate baseline measurement of both organic and active carbon in the soil.

The Gold Soils Test will be a key feature of the stand. It is a test analysing both plant-available and non-readily available nutrients, providing the foundation for Hutchinson’s Healthy Soils Service.

The SAP test analysis identifies nutrient deficiencies before symptoms become visible to ensure timely intervention through chemical soil analysis.

Biological soil analysis in the form of Johnson-Su Composting is a method designed to increase populations of beneficial soil micro-organisms. Application methods include seed treatment, foliar spray or in-furrow at drilling.

By combining these services, Hutchinsons aims to help growers accurately measure and understand soil behaviour within fields to enable data-driven decisions that enhance crop performance and overall farm profitability.

In response to recent changes to the Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI), Hutchinsons is offering growers the chance to speak directly with its environmental services team at Groundswell.

Experts will be available on both days to explain SFI updates, recommend short-term actionable steps and help to plan long-term environmental strategies.

You can book your one-to-one session online on the Hutchinsons website.
