Finnish manufacturer Tume, distributed in the UK through Dales Agri Sales Agency Ltd, launched two new combination drills at Agritechnica.
The updated Orion and Nova are both modular machines, available with automatic rate control and GPS-based operation, or in a more basic, cost-effective variant with mechanical metering.
Both drills are available in 3m and 4m working widths, with either 12.5cm or 16.7cm row spacings. When the narrowing spacing is specified, the rear wheels run a straight line, while the wider row spacings come with an offset packer for easier operation in very wet or dry conditions.
The Super specification includes electric metering of seed and fertiliser, with full Isobus compatibility. The drills can adjust based on the quantity control and GPS data, or can be manually controlled by the operator.
Field management splits the drill into two section control widths, to minimise overlapping and easily handle awkwardly shaped fields.
