Lemken has announced the successor to the Saphir 10 drill. The new Saphir XMR is said to provide additional precision while maintaining the strong features of the previous generation.
The new metering system includes wheels that can be removed without tools, enabling quick changeover of seed types, as well as cleaning and maintenance. As standard, the metering system is electronically driven, with half-width shut-off.
The drill can be adapted easily, including the sowing depth via a central lever, as well as individual adjustment of the coulter pressure. Tramline control enables operators to set the tramline and working width.
iQblue is available, providing Isobus functionality, as well as digital support of calibration and seed emptying.
At the soil, the machine uses the company’s parallelogram-guided double disc coulter with pressure roller, with up to 46kg of downward pressure available.
Row spacings of 12.5cm or 15cm are available.
Tank capacities range from 900 to 1,500 litres, depending on requirements, and can be complemented with a 200-litre MultiHub.
The Saphir XMR can be mounted on the Zirkon EMR or Zirkon XMR power harrows, and the company will offer the 600-series roller to minimise rolling resistance and improve consolidation.
