Complementing the CVX models introduced at Agritechnica, the new Puma 185 is fitted with the ActiveDrive 8 powershift transmission.
Power comes from an FPT NEF six-cylinder engine, producing up to 225hp boosted, and torque levels of 1,063Nm, with a flat engine curve that provides full power from 1,500rpm and max torque from 1,300rpm.
The new ActiveDrive 8 transmission is available with 40kph or 50kph top speeds, as well as Automatic Productivity Management to limit engine speeds based on the load, and the ActiveClutch 2 system.
A new front axle suspension has been fitted, with roll control for greater stability on the road. The new front end has also enabled the company to refine its steering system, providing a turning circle of 10.6m.
The braking system has been boosted, meaning that reduced force is required on the pedal, and integrating CNH’s advanced trailer braking which pulses the trailer brakes to stop overrunning.
In the cab, there are multiple suspension options, as well as the choice of either the MultiController 2 or 3 armrests. The Pro 1200 display can also be fitted. For operator comfort, noise levels have been reduced to 68dB, and there is a choice of camera options, LED lighting packages and a panoramic roof for loader operations.
