McConnel is making Tele-VFR available as an option on its latest 77-Series Power Arm range; the first time the system has been available in the mid-range sector.
It combines the visibility of variable forward reach with the flexibility of telescopic arm movements.
To accommodate the system, the 77-Series armset has been redesigned, including the integration of a phased ram system to maintain the correct flailhead position as the arm is moved back and forth. This replaces the mechanical parallelogram used on larger machines, reducing the weight.
The angling ram has also been repositioned to improve the overall arm profile and enable greater manoeuvrability.
The 77-Series in general was designed to provide strength and performance in a compact package, including larger-diameter pivot pins and the company’s 70hp hydraulic system, with the option to upgrade to the 85hp system.
Additional features include a 180-litre hydraulic tank, high-capacity oil cooler, electric rotor control, Soft-Start rotor engagement, LED road lighting, redesigned hydraulic tank and a two-piece rear guard for improved service access. An integrated debris blower, mounted within the rear guard, is also available.
