Drainage specialist Mastenbroek has announced a series of updates to its popular 20/15 machine, which is celebrating 45 years on the market.
Powered by a 315hp Volvo D8 engine, the machine weighs 20t and can trench down to a depth of 2.5m. A full-length walkway has been added to the machine, providing easy access to engine fluid points, the hydraulic cooler and reversing fan, and the digging mechanism.
A second walkway has also been added, providing a safe crossing over the machine, as well as to and from the cabin.
Control is via two joysticks mounted on the heated, air-suspended seat. A rail-mounted HMI display provides full access to machine functions.
“The 20/15 is one of our most successful trenchers with both agricultural and utility contractors depending on it around the world,” says Christopher Pett, commercial director at Mastenbroek.
“As a company focused on continuous improvement, we’ve listened to the feedback we’ve received from customers and incorporated those requests in this latest version. We’ve also included the enhancements that our in-house software team have developed to give operators the easiest possible access to features and controls.
“The first of the new 20/15s was bought by De Ceusters in Belgium, where, on arrival, it will be sent straight out to work on a drainage scheme.”
