Campey Agriculture will highlight the new Vredo DZ5 Agri Overseeder at this year’s Cereals event.
Available in a 3m working width, it is said to be the first machine of its kind to handle both overseeding and direct seeding, and is capable of dosing and applying three products in a single pass.
This means it can stitch a single-species grass ley or a variety of grasses, herbs and legumes, enabling growers to establish rich meadows that can enhance the nutritional value of milk.
Row spacing can be adjusted from 7.5cm for overseeding, up to 15cm for direct seeding in arable rotations or on bare land.
It builds on the company’s proven double-disc principle, with V-shaped discs to open the soil and place the seed, followed by a press roller to close the slot.
Campey Agriculture will exhibit on stand 501A.
