Importer and distributor AgVantage has been appointed to the Bauer dealer network and will now offer the company’s range of irrigation equipment.
The deal will see AgVantage supply and support the portfolio of crop irrigation equipment, complementing the existing franchises of potato and vegetable machinery.
Andy Carse, managing director, said: “We’re delighted to be joining the Bauer dealer network. Irrigation is an incredibly important part of growing potatoes and other high-value crops, so Bauer fits extremely well alongside the machinery and services we already provide.
“Bauer is a brand with an excellent reputation for quality, reliability and longevity. Many of our existing customers already operate Bauer equipment, so being able to support them with new machines, parts and service is a very natural progression for AgVantage.
“Our aim is not simply to sell machinery; we want to provide the level of aftersales support that customers expect from AgVantage. We see significant potential to develop the Bauer business and build a strong long-term partnership.”
Adrian Tindall, Bauer UK & Ireland sales manager, said: “We are very pleased to welcome AgVantage to the Bauer dealer network. The company has a strong presence within the specialist crop sector and, importantly, understands the level of sales, parts and service support that professional growers require.
“There is a strong overlap between AgVantage’s existing customer base and users of irrigation equipment, particularly within the potato and vegetable sectors. We believe that makes this an excellent fit for both businesses.
“Andy and the AgVantage team have ambitious plans for the business and we look forward to working closely with them to develop Bauer irrigation equipment sales and provide first-class support to customers.”
