The latest ZA-M 02 and ZA-X 03 mounted fertiliser spreaders can now be specified with the EasySet 2 in-cab terminal; an electric control unit that enables constant application rates be maintained regardless of forward speed.

This is the first time the ZA-X range has been available with this technology. The size of the apertures is adjusted automatically, changing to shutter position to keep the application rate consistent. Therefore, the operator can adjust their working speed based on ground conditions or field size, without impacting fertiliser spread.

EasySet_2_001_d1_1908202Forward speed can be measured using an X-sensor to count pulses, a signal cable measuring the tractor speed, or a GPS antenna.

In addition to this, the application rate can be adjusted precisely and on the move to avoid wastage, save costs and reduce downtime. Either side of the spreader can be adjusted in this way independently of the other for border and watercourse spreading.

Each button on the EasySet 2 has one function for ease of use. It also features an integrated hectare meter and a total area counter. It’s completed with a semi-automatic rate calibration function the possibility to empty residual amounts of fertiliser from the cab.

    New look spreading

Both the ZA-X and Za-M have also undergone a facelift, bringing them in line with the ZA-V and ZA-TS machines. Capacities and working widths remain unchanged with the ZA-X 03 range running from 10m to 18m and holding between 500 and 1,400 litres. The ZA-M 02 can work from 10m to 36m, holding 1,000 to 1,500 litres of fertiliser, which can be increased to 3,000 litres with extensions.
