The Tillage Live event, set to go ahead on the 16th of September at Down Ampney, Gloucestershire, will feature several new Kverneland machines.

A new generation of five-furrow reversible plough will be on-site. The 2300S replaces the EG200 and will be available in three, four or five furrow builds, with 85cm or 100cm point-to-point clearance and underbeam clearance of 80cm, 10cm more than the preceding model.

It also includes features brought down from the larger plough portfolio, including an optional trailer-transport headstock, allowing it to be towed and follow the tractor like a standard trailed implement.

There will also be a heavier range of the FP front press range, shown in combination with an e-drill. These latest models offer a 90cm diameter press ring, increased from 70cm, which adds to a 50% weight increase and reduces rolling resistance. It’s available in working widths of 3m, 4m, 4.5m and 6m, with all but the 3m model fitted with a hydraulic folding system.

Each model comes as standard with passive steering and damping and, depending on the ring profile, can be used with leading tines.

Designed for the u-drill, the new MD disc is the latest cultivation element from Kverneland and will be offered as an alternative to the short disc harrow. It can be used as part of a conservation tillage system, to work in cover crops, or within a conventional establishment programme.

It uses a 430mm diameter straight disc with a fluted profile around the circumference to remove surface trash and reduce the risk of hair-pinning. The flutes lightly till the soil in 30mm to 50mm wide strips and the discs are aligned with the u-drill’s CD coulters.
