BKT’s web-based show, the BKT Network, will start its third edition this November. Global Trends sees the format be completely renewed with an expanded range of topics and guests and an increasingly global and inclusive vision.

The topics covered will start with agriculture but will offer greater space for insights from experts from all around the world. Its mission is to offer a current day look at the changes and trends that affect global agriculture and it will seek to attract not only operators and customers but those who care about environmental and sustainable actions.

The new season will run from November 2021 to June 2022, covering a different topic each month. Each of the eight subjects will be covered in a forty-minute episode, with four international guests.

Each topic will be focused on a global issue affecting agriculture. These are:

    • Agricultural technology and smart farming
    • Soil health
    • The generation shift
    • Women in agriculture
    • Water use
    • Climage change – farming for the future
    • Organic farming
    • Marketing in agriculture

All the guests involved will be experts and specialists in the topic. Among them are journalists, professors or university teachers, representatives of companies within the industry, influencers of international organisations and, of course, farmers. There will also be insights from BKT experts who participate in and support special projects.

Lucia Salmaso, CEO of BKT Europe, stated: “Agriculture will only be the first step. Our goal for the future is to cover all issues related to the industries in which we operate. Not only agriculture, therefore, but also earthmoving, industry, ports.

“I think that agriculture is something that belongs to humanity and will remain the main source of food for future generations. There are many themes that go far beyond the field of the individual farmer. The goal of our new project “Global Trends” is to create awareness around the many aspects that influence agriculture, providing a global vision. Everyone can help make a small change. And if you put together so many small changes, this can lead to an important turning point for a better future.”
